Plans, usage and billing

Each workspace has its own plan. The plan sets how many apps, events and recorded sessions you get, and which features you can use. You see your plan and usage on Plan & billing in the sidebar. For what each plan includes and costs, see the pricing page.

The plans

There are five plans: Free, Growth, Pro, Agency and Enterprise. Every plan includes the accessibility split, funnels, journeys, friction, surveys and AI assistants over MCP. Higher plans add volume, history and these features:

Enterprise volume, history and price are agreed with you.

The Plan & billing page

Anyone whose role includes See the plan and usage can open Plan & billing. Only people who can Choose the plan, manage payment details and invoices can change anything. By default that's owners and admins.

The page shows:

• Current plan: your plan's name, with badges such as Early access, Trial or Founding customer.
• Usage: Events this month, Recorded sessions this month, Apps, Live surveys and Protected flows, each against your plan's limit. Monthly counts start again on the first day of each month.
• The plans you can move to, with a Monthly or Yearly switch.
• Good to know: the rules on cancelling, refunds and limits.

Team & workspace shows a short summary of the plan too.

Early access

Metrickle is in early access. While it is:

• Anyone can sign up and create a workspace on Free.
• Growth is free for workspaces let in with an invite code or an approved request.
• Paid plans aren't open, so there's nothing to buy and no card is needed.

On a Free workspace, people who manage billing see Get Growth free while we launch on Plan & billing. You can do either:

• Ask for Growth: enter your Company or project, and optionally your Website and what you'd like Metrickle to help with, then choose Ask for Growth. We read every request and usually reply within a day or two, by email. Your workspace keeps working on Free in the meantime.
• Have an invite code?: enter your Invite code and choose Use code. If you signed up through an invite link and the code didn't apply, it waits here for you.

Once you're on Growth, the page says so with an Early access badge. The plans card is called Plans after early access and shows what each plan will cost once paid plans start.

When paid plans start, early-access workspaces on Growth get 30 days' notice first, then 30% off any plan for as long as they stay, as founding customers. There's nothing to do until then.

Going over a limit

Going over a limit never loses data, and nothing is limited without notice.

Things you add on purpose: apps, live surveys and protected flows. When you're at your plan's limit, adding one more asks you to upgrade. Anything you already have keeps working, for example after moving to a smaller plan.

Volumes that grow on their own: events and recorded sessions a month. The usage bar changes colour from 80% as a warning. Once you're over, a message shows above every page and on Plan & billing:

1. For the first 7 days over, nothing is limited.
2. After that, new session replays pause until you upgrade or usage resets at the start of next month.
3. Events are only sampled if the month goes past one and a half times your plan's event limit. Sampling brings what's stored back down to the limit.

During early access, a Free workspace over its limits is pointed to Ask for Growth, free while we launch.

Changing plan and paying

This section applies once paid plans are open.

To choose a paid plan:

1. Open Plan & billing.
2. Pick Monthly or Yearly. Yearly billing charges 10 months for 12.
3. Choose Choose Growth, Choose Pro or Choose Agency and pay by card through Stripe.

The new limits apply straight away and Stripe emails your receipt. After that, Manage billing lets you switch plan, update your card, download invoices or cancel.

• Cancelling: your plan runs to the end of the period you've paid for, then you move to Free. Nothing is deleted.
• Refunds: we refund your first payment in full if you ask within 14 days.
• Failed payments: everything keeps working while you update your card, and the payment is retried automatically.
• Currency and tax: prices are in pounds sterling (GBP). Outside the UK, checkout shows and charges your own currency at the day's rate, so you see the exact amount before paying. Tax is added where it applies, and you can add a tax ID for your invoices.
