Accessibility statement

How accessible metrickle.com and the Metrickle dashboard are, what we know still needs work, and how to tell us about a barrier.

What this statement covers

This statement covers Metrickle's own websites:

  • the marketing site at metrickle.com;
  • the dashboard at app.metrickle.com, where you sign in and use Metrickle.

It does not cover the websites and apps our customers measure with Metrickle, or the surveys and feedback widget as they appear inside those sites.

Our target

We aim for both sites to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We treat accessibility as a requirement for new work, not a later fix.

We do not run automated accessibility tests yet, so we are not claiming full conformance. The sections below describe what we have done and what we know still falls short.

What we have done in the dashboard

  • Text and interface colours are chosen for a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1.
  • Focus indicators are visible.
  • Animation is reduced when your device asks for reduced motion.
  • Skip links let you jump past navigation to the main content.
  • Charts and tables have equivalents that screen readers can read.
  • Live regions announce status changes to screen reader users.
  • Controls can be operated with a keyboard, including reordering funnel steps, which can be done with move buttons.
  • Controls have accessible names.
  • Confirmation dialogs manage keyboard focus.
  • Filter chips have a target size of at least 24 by 24 pixels.

What we have done on metrickle.com

  • Text contrast is at least 4.5:1.
  • Focus is visible on every background, including coloured panels.
  • The sticky header does not cover the element that has focus.
  • A skip link leads to the main content, and menus open with buttons that work with a keyboard.

Known limitations

  • No automated accessibility testing yet. Our checks are manual, so problems can slip through between reviews. Automated accessibility testing is on our roadmap.
  • Heatmaps are visual. A heatmap shows where clicks land as areas of colour, which is not available to people who cannot see it. The most-clicked elements and how far people scrolled are also listed as text in tables beside it.
  • Session replay is visual. A replay plays back what a page looked like during a visit. There is no text alternative for the recording itself.

Reporting a barrier

If something on metrickle.com or in the dashboard is hard or impossible for you to use, please tell us. Email support@metrickle.com and include:

  • the page address, or the part of the dashboard you were using;
  • what you were trying to do and what happened;
  • if you are happy to share it, the browser and any assistive technology you use.

If you are signed in to the dashboard, please say so and mention the workspace or app you were in, so we can look at the same screen.

If the barrier stops you getting information you need, tell us and we will provide it in another way.

What happens next

We read every report, reply to let you know we have received it, and tell you what we plan to do. Barriers that stop someone completing a task are fixed first. We will update this statement when we fix a known limitation or find a new one.
